Tap a piece, then a dotted empty square. A star is watched if a piece could capture something on that square using its ordinary chess movement.
R · Rook: any distance straight. B · Bishop: any distance diagonally. Neither sees or moves through other pieces. N · Knight: two squares then one sideways; it jumps. K · King: one square in any direction.
All pieces are yours. There are no captures, opponents, check, castling or special moves. You may move onto a star, but all stars must be empty to finish. Stars do not block sight. Pieces may threaten each other, and a piece need not watch any star. Any move count wins; the minimum is an optional challenge.
Select a piece to stripe the squares it watches. Star numbers always show the total watchers. Arrow keys explore the board; Enter or Space selects and moves. Escape cancels. U undoes, R resets. Undo is unlimited.
