Move only a threatened piece, until no piece threatens another. A threat means another piece could capture it using chess movement. Tap or click a piece marked !, then a dotted empty square. A quiet piece (–) cannot move until someone threatens it again. There is no move limit; the minimum is an optional challenge.
Departures from chess: all pieces belong to you. No captures, opposing turns, or check restrictions: kings may stand next to another piece or move into a threat. Striped stone squares cannot be occupied and block straight and diagonal paths; knights jump over both stone and pieces. Pieces also block sliding paths. Only empty squares are legal destinations.
Keyboard: Tab to the board, use arrow keys to choose a square, then Enter or Space to select and move. Escape cancels selection. U undoes; R resets. Undo is unlimited, including after a win. Choose any study from the level menu.
